Greyward: Castaway Survival
Wash ashore on a misty island, build a camp and survive the Grey — a night mist that burns.
Climb endless rune towers, free the captured crew and sail to eight far islands, alone or with friends.
Survive the island
By day the island is yours to explore. By night the Grey rolls in, and anyone caught outside the fort burns.
Gather driftwood, pitch a camp and keep the fire alive — then grow the camp into a real home.
- Day, night and the Grey. Be inside by dusk, or plant torches and moon lanterns to hold the mist back. Every fourth night it rolls in thick.
- Hunger, cold and weather. Rain, storms and snow chill you; cook stews, brew herbal tea and wear fur.
- Craft your way up. Stone and flint first, then bone, obsidian and moon shards. Set spike traps and tame a wolf.
- Grow your camp. A drying rack, a rain shelter, a smokehouse — each upgrade makes the island a little kinder.
Climb the rune towers
Every island has a rune tower with endless floors. Every tenth floor a guardian waits behind shielding rune
pillars, and each island's guardians bring their own hazards. Beat the guardians of floors 10, 20 and 30 for gear
you can't find anywhere else.
Break the Grey camps
Eight of the vessel's crew were taken by the Grey and now lead walled camps, each guarding a Grey Heart.
Clear the guards, beat the chief and free them one by one.
Sail to eight far islands
A cane-field isle, frozen crags, a volcano, a land of rusted machines, a thorn jungle, a coral reef, cloud-high
crags and a dark isle — each with its own creatures, bosses, rune tower and a page of the vessel's log.
Better together
Open a room and invite up to three friends on Steam. Defend the same fort, climb towers together (every extra
climber raises the rewards) and wake the twin rune stones that only answer two castaways at once. Everyone keeps
their own castaway and progress.
Also in the game
- Five villagers with their own requests and a corner of the fort to build.
- A different event every day: a trader's raft, a falling star, a fish run, a washed-up crate.
- Fishing, planting beds, animals, and a journal of goals and feats.
- Generative music that follows the day, the night, the storm and the fight.
- Steam achievements, Steam Cloud saves and controller support. English and Vietnamese.
